The Monmouth Rebellion (1685) and the Glorious Revolution (1688) are two important events in English history which have been unwisely neglected. The Civil Wars had ended, Cromwell was dead and the Restoration of the Monarchy had taken place in 1660 with the crowning of Charles II.
