Warplanes of the Third Reich was first published in 1970 and is still considered by many to be a definitive reference on Luftwaffe aircraft. The subject is broad, there were a bewildering number of aircraft types in Luftwaffe service and each one of these is described in detail. The book claims to include over two thousand photographs and drawings. The contents are arranged by manufacturer and then by number, making finding a specific aircraft easy.
Green describes almost 150 warplanes - the text on each is accompanied by B&W photos and precise line drawings of the craft from various angles. Not an inch is wasted - packed full of detail. Even the endpapers have been used: front consists of graphs showing monthly German aircraft production, 1934-41; back shows the same for the later war years. An impressive body of detail for the enthusiast.
This item is in Very Good condition. It has some yellow spotting on the page edges, discolouration of the dust jacket and is a little musty from storage. As always, the item shown in the photos is the one you will receive.
