The Churchill - Bryan Perrett - hardcover

Regular price $19.95

For the last three years of World War II, the Churchill tank, in its many forms, fought in more actions than any other British or American design, with the exception of the ubiquitous Sherman. Always in the forefront of the battle, the record of the Churchill reads like the British Army's battle honours of the period-Hunt's Gap, Longstop Hill, the Hitler Line, the Gothic Line, the Atlantic Wall, Hill 309, the Reichswald, and many others. Designed to fight in support of infantry, it was a good friend to almost every British and Canadian division in the field, to New Zealanders, Americans, Poles, Czechs, and even to Moroccans and Italians. Discounted at first by the Germans, they found to their horror that not only had it a thick hide, but it could climb impossible slopes and travel through mud that brought other vehicles to a standstill.

This copy is in Very Good condition with only minimal shelf wear and some spotting on the page edges. It is a little musty from storage. As usual, photos are of the item that you will receive.
