This book is a biography of James Graham, the first Marquis of Montrose, who was a Scottish nobleman and military leader during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. It was written by Ronald Williams, a British historian and journalist, and first published by Barrie & Jenkins in London in 1975. It contains essays, illustrations, and biographical information that explore the life, achievements, and controversies of Montrose, who was a loyalist to King Charles I and a brilliant commander of the Royalist forces in Scotland.

This copy is in Fair condition. There is coloring, spotting, and some staining of the page edges. There is some shelf wear, most notably of the dust jacket (see pictures). As always, the photos are of the book you will receive.
