Messerschmitt BF 110 At War - Armand Van Ishoven - hardcover

Regular price $19.95

Used as a fighter, fighter-bomber, photo-reconnaissance platform and interceptor, by 1943, like the Hurricane, the Bf 110 was getting old, slower and more vulnerable than its opponents. In the search for a new role the Bf110 became a hight-fighter and performed great deeds over the German homeland. With a wealth of unpublished photographs and eyewitness accounts, Armand Van Ishoven - author of Messerschmitt Bf109 at War - gives a rounded view of what it was like to fly and fight in the Bf110.

Part of the "At War" series, long-running military history book series (by a variety of authors) focusing on the wartime careers of classic military aircraft. Published by Ian Allen, each book comprises a collection of first-hand accounts by the men who flew and serviced the aircraft, illustrated by numerous b+w photographs to recreate the atmosphere of the time. The text and photographs combine to trace the history of the type during its wartime service in all the major theatres of war.
