The Brooklands Aircraft Portfolio series looked at significant aircraft from World War Two. The contents is not an original narrative but a compilation of contemporary articles from magazines such as 'Flight' or 'The Aeroplane' between 1938 and 1944, and more modern articles in 'Aeroplane Monthly' between 1976 and 1985. The articles include technical descriptions, cutaway drawings, b+w photos, genealogy, combat & operational reports etc.
