The photographs and cartoon portraits in this volume, collected by Martin Gilbert over several years, vividly portray the variety and span of Winston Churchill's life. More than a third of the photographs and most of the cartoons came from Sir Winston's own albums, appearing nowhere else. Displayed here, they are supported by a rich historical commentary, often in Churchill's own words or those of this contemporaries. The result is a unique photographic record, as remarkable for its completeness as for the many fascinating pictures it contains.
This copy is in Good condition. There is coloring and marking of the page edges and cover. There is fading of the spine. There is some shelf wear. As always, the photos are of the book you will receive.
