By Air To Battle - Purnell's History of the Second World War - Charles Macdonald - Softcover

Regular price $11.95

A good book on the development of the airborne in WWII and before. Balanced, but due to its size does not provide an in-depth view of any one countries force development. It looks at the use of Airborne Forces throughout WWII, from the Nazi assault on Eben Emael in 1940 to Operation Varsity Crossing the Rhine and the Conquest of Corregidor, both in 1945.

Part of the very popular Purnell - Pan/Ballantine - Macdonald series about the First and Second World Wars, published in the 1960s and 1970s by these various related publishing houses across the world. Printed on magazine stock paper they are not the greatest quality but are packed with information.

This copy is in Very Good condition. There is some shelf wear and browning of the pages, minor shelf wear. As always, the photos are of the book you will receive.
