The elite troops of the Saxons were the Anglo-Danish Huscarls. Heavily armoured and wielding the fearsome Dane Axe they defeated Harald Hardrada and stood firm for many hours under the Norman Cavalry assault at Hastings.
In 28mm scale, these miniatures are an ideal way to start a Saga force or bulk out an army for WAB or Hail Caesar. You can even use them to build some characters for Frostgrave or D&D. Victrix are superb quality miniatures and this is one of their newer sculpts.
