A multipart plastic kit in 1/35 scale of a Japanese Chi Ha tank. Introduced in the late 1930s, the Type 97 Chi-Ha tanks first saw action in Manchuria and China during the Second Sino-Japanese War, and against the ill equipped National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China, Type 97 Chi-Ha tanks were used with considerable success by the IJA. However, in the Second World War, the Type 97 Chi-Ha did not performed well against its contemporary foes during tank to tank combat, largely due to its thin armor and relatively light main armament. Some 2,123 Type 97 Chi-Ha tanks were produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi Industries, among others between 1938 and 1943.
This kit is in Excellent condition, still sealed in the original shrinkwrap.
