Published in 2000, this copiously illustrated history provides information about Australia's involvement in the Anglo-Boer war of 1899-1902, focusing on the experiences of the author's uncle, Trooper Frederick Avard of the New South Wales Lancers.
It contains a copy of Australian Defence Department records relating to Australian military contingents in South Africa, copies of contemporary newspaper articles and personal letters.
Now a very rare volume it offers a good insight into the NSW Lancers involvement in the Boer War.
